Music Video Production Class. Week 4

This week we were trying to make our final decision about the song. 
Dubioza Kolektiv or Noah and the Whale ???

Finally we realised that neither of these songs will be good. We realised that our budget is very low, and it will be difficult to implement our ideas.The first song is too complex, and the second one is too trite. Therefore we started looking for new ideas. 

Our brainstorming session brought us to the idea of making a video about students. Obviously this is something that we know the best. We decided to focus on the transience of student life, and we've found a perfect song for that.

Asaf Avidan - One day (Wankelmut Remix)

Our video will show one day of a student, which is funny and interesting, but also boring and meaningless.

We will try to make a very simple video, with different amateur effects such as shaking camera. This will help us to create an aura of student life.

Music Video Production Class. Week 3

During this week we started choosing a song for our music video.
Our group (me, Alexandra Takacs, and Valeria Dauhalevich) spent several hours brainstorming and browsing through the Internet. Here is the list of the songs that we've chosen.

After the long process of selection, we have decide in favour of Noah and the Whale and Dubioza Kolektiv.





We have sent quite a number of emails to the record companies and band managers in order to get the permission for shooting, so now we are waiting for the response.

Music Video Production Class. Week 2

For this class we had to choose three of our favorit music videos.This easy task appeared to be very complicated. I like too many music videos, and it was almost impossible to choose only three.Finally, after some struggle I am ready to present The Top Three.

Hold Your Horses - 70 Million

This music video is absolutely amazing, because it combines music and fine art. Every scene refers to a famous artwork. How many of them can you recognise? :)


Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch

This music video is an artwork itself. Just imagine the amount of work done here. All the effects create a dream-like scene from a fairytale.


Karen Elson - The Truth Is In The Dirt

This video is more natural than the previous one. It has less effects, but still it is very impressive.
